Ms. Marquardt demonstrates versatile talent as both a land surveyor and novelist
MANDAN, ND, October 13, 2011 /Religion PR News/ -- Andra L. Marquardt, Author and Registered Land Surveyor for Toman Engineering Company, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in land surveying.
Formerly recognized as a Cambridge Who's Who VIP member, Andra Marquardt has once again been honored for her professional efforts. Backed by 20 years of experience, she currently assumes the role of Registered Land Surveyor for Toman Engineering Company. There, she draws on her expertise in mathematics and land survey coordination to efficiently conduct land surveys, calculate subdivisions, ground surfaces for engineering, perform drafting, and design water and sewage systems. Among her many accomplishments, she notes that her most memorable was designing a bay subdivision, which required the transportation of an astounding half-million yards of dirt.
In addition to her work as a land surveyor, Ms. Marquardt is a skilled writer, having authored one novel, three short stories and five articles. She enjoys writing across various genres, especially science fiction and topics regarding the Christian faith. Although she is best recognized for her novel, "A Reason to Hope," Ms. Marquardt won the 2010 American Christian Fiction Writers Genesis Contest in the speculative fiction category for her novel, "Traitors."
Ms. Marquardt earned an Associate of Applied Science in Civil Engineering Technology and Drafting and Design Technology from Trinidad State Junior College. Devoted to both of her professional pursuits, she is the Secretary of the Board of the North Dakota Society of Professional Land Surveyors, American Christian Fiction Writers and Christian Writers Guild.
