BROOK PARK, OH, June 3, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Kim Stanley has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding professional career. As an Author and Radio Personality, Kim has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Kim is the author of the book, Thank You Lord Jesus: One Woman's of Faith in the Midst of Adversity. It is an inspirational book, telling the story of how Jesus Christ gave her the hope and determination to persevere and how her mother was her lifeline through the hardships of battling cancer, losing an infant son in an auto accident and overcoming a brush with death.
In the book, Kim tells of how she beat what doctors said was terminal cancer while she attended Bedford High School in the late 1980s. She also talks about how in 1998, she and then-husband Sheldon Ferguson had their "miracle baby" even after doctors had told her it was impossible for her carry a baby. Unfortunately, that miracle ended in tragedy when just six weeks later, the family was in a car accident leaving Kim in a coma while her baby passed away seven hours after the crash. Through all of the adversity she has faced in life, Kim always kept her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Prior to writing Thank You Lord Jesus: One Woman's of Faith in the Midst of Adversity, Kim worked as a broadcaster on the Christian radio station, WABQ. She is a member of the Karen E. Mumford cancer foundation, which is a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance and debt relief to cancer patients for their revolving expenses.
