DAYTON, OH, May 25, 2011 /Religion PR News/ -- Mary-Anna Welch, well-known Beavercreek artist and long-time resident, is giving back to her community by offering her latest creation to St. Mark's Episcopal Church of Dayton. And now, St. Mark's will make it official at a dedication and blessing of the Nursery in its Community Building on June 5, 2011, after the 10:30 Mass.

Welch's painting is a ceiling-to-floor, four-wall mural depicting Adam and Eve surrounded by animals of every shape and size imaginable. Welch entitled the work "Night and Day in the Garden Of Eden."

"This project took me almost 125 hours to complete. I consider it a labor of love," said Welch.

Mrs. Welch earned her master's degree in art from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign, Ill.

Father Michael Kreutzer, pastor of St. Mark's, remarked, "We will be very proud to host this special event honoring Mrs. Welch's wonderful new mural. We extend a warm welcome to anyone who would like to attend."

Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist and enjoy the mural, not to mention the ice cream and cookies donated for the occasion.
