Kanon’s preaching style is similar to many other leading Pentecostal evangelists; he shouts and waves his hands as he paces back and forth before wiping his forehead with a handkerchief.
Damon Tipton, Kanon’s father, called his son’s preaching a “phenomenon” in an interview on the Today show.
His father believes that Kanon has been called to preach, but others seem to believe he is just imitating what he has seen from others.
"Yes, children absorb whatever you put in front of them. He's been around the ministry, but I do feel like the hand of God is on him in a special way,” Tipton told the Today show on Tuesday.

According to Pastor Damon Tipton, Kanon does not preach all the time, but only when inspired.
Tipton, addressing criticism over Kanon preaching at such a young age, told the Today show "All that we have done is involved him in church. He himself has taken upon this passion. We're not pushing him."
Kanon said he likes to preach in front of the congregation as he sees his “daddy preach all the time.”
“I’m a preacher,” the 4-year-old said.
